Solar Decathlon Europe

The Competition, held in Madrid in 2012, is one of the most important and acknowledged architectural competitions in the world. It's organized by the U.S. Department of Energy and the Spanish Government. Solar Decathlon challenges twenty collegiate teams from the whole world to compete in ten different tasks.

The first Solar Decathlon was held in Washington in 2002. After further contests 2005, 2007 and 2009, the first Solar Decathlon Europe took place in June 2010 in Madrid, Spain. It's modeled after the U.S. Solar Decathlon with a combination of task completion, measurement and jury scoring. The ten different tasks are:
